With multiple GOP candidates vying for the chance to take down Mark, we'll need to fight for this seat harder than ever before.

Consider what we're up against:

-- Pro-Trump dark money groups dumping millions of dollars in negative ads against Virginia Democrats up for re-election in November
-- Donald Trump placing his 2020 campaign headquarters in VA and then going around saying that "Virginia is in play"
-- The Trump Campaign holding over 82 Trump Victory Initiative events across VA in 2019 alone
-- FiveThirtyEight analyzing 2020 Senate races and rating Virginia's partisan lean as only narrowly Democratic (D+0.1)

Above all else, we must remember that our Commonwealth is known for its political volatility. Mark knows this better than anyone: He won his first Senate election in 2008 by 31% but only beat Ed Gillespie by 0.8% just six years later.
