The Senate runoff election in Georgia remains crucial to our success, but we now know that Senate control will not hinge on its outcome. In President Biden’s first two years, he and Leader Schumer confirmed more than 80 nominees to lifetime appointments. They are on track to confirm more than 100 before the end of the current Congress in January. With two more years in front of us, we are assured that we can continue the work to fill each and every vacancy on the federal bench! |
If we fill every vacancy, we will undoubtedly restore balance to our federal courts. Our champions of justice will continue the crucial work of ensuring equal justice for all, not just the wealthy and powerful, and be able to check the partisan whims of Trump-McConnell judges along the way. We congratulate all of the pro-democracy senators who won re-election in this cycle. Their commitment to protecting our institutions, including our federal judiciary, was recognized and rewarded by voters of all kinds. That is so gratifying, and we are looking forward to continuing to work with them. But most important: we have been thrilled to work with YOU on rebuilding OUR federal judiciary.
