Make a pledge for the planet this World Kindness Day

Dear Friend,

 

**Today is World Kindness Day; a day to be kinder to yourself, other people and to the world. Will you join us in making a pledge for the planet?**

 

For over 34 years, we have put being kind to the planet at the top of our agenda. Our climate-positive approach works long-term to reverse some of the harms of the climate crisis, by using sustainable farming practices which support nature.

With the festive season just around the corner, we know that Christmas can be an incredibly wasteful time of year. That's why we are asking if you can make a pledge for the planet this World Kindness Day and in the lead up to Christmas.

 

**Here are some pledges you could make: **

 


- **Shop more sustainably** this Christmas by choosing second hand gifts or [**charity gifts**]([link removed]) that have a positive impact on the planet.
- **Choose more organic and locally produced fruit and vegetables** and take what steps you can to reduce your food waste.
- **Go for a**[**real Christmas tree**]([link removed])**over an artificial one.** If you do choose artificial, use it as many times as possible.
- **Ditch the plastic packaging** by using reusable gift wrap or paper and tape that can be recycled.
 

These are just a few pledges you could make this World Kindness Day and beyond.
