We have had a big week here at Brand New Congress, John, thanks to our wonderful supporters.
Tuesday night we learned that five of our BNC representatives were overwhelmingly re-elected to continue serving in Congress next year (and some results are still pending!).
We also learned the BNC caucus is growing by FOUR new seats:
- Becca Balint as Vermont’s first openly gay woman elected to Congress

Greg Casar as the first Latino to represent TX-35, a majority minority community
- Maxwell Alejandro Frost as the first member of Gen Z elected to Congress
- And our first Brand New Congress Senator, John Fetterman!
While we are still waiting on final results in Katie Porter’s race, we remain confident of a victory there as well.
It took years of dedicated work to reach this point, John. When I first ran for Congress myself as part of the original BNC Slate, I saw firsthand the challenges that regular Americans face in running for office.
It takes time to build winning campaigns, and candidates depend on partners like Brand New Congress to get involved early and help them start off strong. That’s why we are starting our search for our 2024 slate right now.
