Tell President Biden:

Replace Trumpist DeJoy lackey Donald "Lee" Moak on the USPS Board of Governors

ADD YOUR VOICE

John,

This week’s election results were a striking rebuke of Trumpism. The MAGA legacy of selfishness, privatization, and screwing the little guy helped Democrats have the best midterm for a sitting President’s party in decades.

Now, it’s time for the President to act on that mandate and tear the Trumpists who remain in Executive Branch positions out, root and branch. Starting with the USPS.

Since Trump nominated Republican megadonor Louis DeJoy as Postmaster General, DeJoy has worked to slow down service and raise prices, contributing to rising costs elsewhere. Though DeJoy is now well-known, Trump installed a series of lackeys on the USPS Board of Governors to insulate DeJoy from public outrage. Fortunately, one of those lackeys’ term is ending soon! Before the election, we had heard that the White House was considering re-nominating DeJoy lackey Donald “Lee” Moak to the USPS Board of Governors. This week’s election result makes it clear: Voters want the government to work for THEM―not MAGA privatizers.

Sign now: Tell President Biden to replace Moak on the USPS Board of Governors!

Simply supporting DeJoy while he dismantles the USPS and wages war on the mail would be reason enough to replace Moak. But crucially, Moak brings no expertise to his role―he is there solely to do Trump & DeJoy’s bidding. Moak said himself:

“....I am not a postal expert and I am still only at the beginning stages of understanding the Postal Service’s current challenges…”

The Biden administration should nominate a public servant who understands that the path forward for the USPS requires firing Postmaster General DeJoy, expanding service and products, and stopping service delays and excessive price hikes.
