We met our goal and then some Dear Indivisibles,
Happy New Year!
We know we’ve been sending you a lot of emails asking for money in the last few weeks, so we wanted to be sure to report back, let you know how it went, and thank you.
As you know if you’ve been following along, we set a goal of raising $230,000 by 11:59 p.m. on December 31 to begin funding our 2020 work. Short version: we did it!
Here’s some quick stats:
- We raised a total of $264,494 in grassroots support for Indivisible Action in December.
- All that money came from 10,007 unique donations.
- That means our average gift was $26.43.
- Donors came from all 50 states, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, and Washington DC.
- We met both of our matches.
In addition to supporting Indivisible Action, Indivisibles stepped up big time to support the 36 House Democrats who flipped seats in 2018 and then voted for impeachment: we raised $79,547 to support their reelection campaigns!
We really just want to say thank you. When Indivisible began as a Google Doc three years ago, we never imagined that it would grow into this huge movement. We say it a lot, but that’s because it’s true: we couldn’t do any of this without you.
As always, please feel free to email us to let us know what’s on your mind as we head into 2020. And if one of your New Year’s Resolutions is to get more involved or volunteer before the election, click here to find your local group and get started.
In solidarity,
Indivisible Team
