Something interesting happens when you tell the wealthy and powerful you don’t want their money.
It makes them nervous.
They would much rather have a candidate offer an ear to their needs while extending a hand to collect their check.
I was asked on CNN this morning if we would ever start taking that money. And my answer is that we will not. We will not change a damn thing.
But the truth is, when you raise money at $18 a pop like we do, we have to keep going. We cannot slow down. Not with Iowa just one month away. Not when the billionaire class is going to do everything they can to beat us — because that is what’s next.
So we’re asking:
