Friend,
Too many people across the country are, sadly, starting the year in fear of how they'll put food on the table in a few months time - and it's thanks to Donald Trump's proposed cuts to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
This assault on those with low incomes could eliminate SNAP benefits for nearly 700,000 Americans already living in poverty starting in April - folks who will only be pushed into hunger, not pushed toward greater chances of employment as Trump would have us believe.
As a matter of fact, Congress came together to protect SNAP benefits when passing the Farm Bill in 2018. But now, President Trump has bypassed Congress, and I need supporters like you to join me in speaking out against this cruelty.
I've signed on to a petition calling for the Trump administration to reverse its rule change and protect SNAP benefits. Click here to add your name now and stand against plunging thousands of Americans into hunger. My goal is to get 7,500 signers before midnight.

The simple and harsh truth about Trump's policy change is that it will harm the people who are most in need of help. That's no way to govern, and we've got to stand up to this cruelty. I appreciate you taking the time to speak out and fight back with me.
Gary
