Dear John,

Shatha (pictured above with her 82-year-old father) has already gone through six winters in the Al Azraq refugee camp in Jordan, and they have not been easy.

She’s experienced the bitter cold of the desert, along with storms that have left their belongings – from carpets to mattresses – soaking wet.

Thanks to UNHCR, Shatha received winter cash assistance for essential supplies and repairs to make her shelter waterproof again.

“If we hadn't received the winter assistance, we would have died because of the cold weather.”

Millions of Syrian refugees like Shatha are dreading winter in the Middle East. We are committed to repairing as many homes as possible before the bitter cold weather sets in, but we can’t do it alone. We need your help too.

Thank you for taking the time to read this email. I hope you can see just how much of a difference your support can make to Syrian refugees whose lives have been put on hold by over 10 years of conflict.
