Africa & Europe
Pray for the protection and preservation of the team as Uganda is currently dealing with an outbreak of Ebola in multiple districts, including in the capital city, Kampala. Pray against misinformation as the government manages the outbreak and for an end to the spread of the disease.
Latin America
Join us in a prayer of praise for the miracles God has made possible through our IJM Dominican Republic team, and the impact and accomplishments achieved through their years of dedication towards making their country a safer place for vulnerable communities.
South Asia
Praise God for a survivor of bonded labor who recently shared her story at a women’s business conference. This was a fantastic opportunity to showcase how survivors are overcoming incredible odds to lead their own innovative and creative small businesses. After this survivor’s powerful speech, many local business leaders offered their mentorship and advice to help other survivors thrive. Pray for more great opportunities to come!
Asia Pacific
Praise God for IJM’s opportunity to speak at the world’s largest FinTech festival last week! Singapore FinTech Festival convenes over 60,000 participants from more than 100 countries. During the ‘FinTech for Good’ session, John Tanagho of IJM’s Center to End Online Sexual Exploitation of Children spoke about FinTech organizations’ role to limit child exploitation in the Philippines. Pray that this session will continue to spark movement and change in the technology industry so that children will be protected from sexual exploitation online.
