2019 was a banner year for the Claremont Institute! In addition to celebrating our 40th Anniversary, highlights from the past year include:
-
Receiving the National Humanities Medal from President Donald Trump for our "invaluable contributions to the history of American conservative thought" (video);
-
Launching two new podcasts, The American Mind, featuring conversations about the ideas and principles that drive American political life, and The American Story, stories about what makes America beautiful and worthy of our love;
-
Completing the first full year of our new online publication, The American Mind, which has quickly established itself as a leading voice for the new American Right;
-
Launching our nationwide campaign, "Defend America—Defeat Multiculturalism";
-
Presenting the Statesmanship Award to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo at our annual gala, at which he delivered a defining speech titled "A Foreign Policy from the Founding";
-
Waging a national media effort against Google's attempt to censor Claremont's speech online—and winning! (Stay tuned for more Big Tech battles in 2020)
-
Hiring two new Senior Fellows, Christopher Caldwell and Jeremy Carl.
And while all of these exciting events were unfolding, we continued to educate the best and brightest young conservatives through our four fellowship programs, defend the natural law in the courts through our Center for Constitutional Jurisprudence, host educational events around the country, and publish the most intelligent and thought-provoking periodicals on the Right in the Claremont Review of Books and on the American Mind.
To this last point, below is a sampling of the most popular articles we published last year. Enjoy!
We look forward to sharing more engaging content and big announcements in the year ahead—all of which is made possible by your generous support and encouragement. Thank you!

"People capable of feeling shame would not have immediately followed up the Russiagate hoax fiasco with another transparently phony—and in “substance” nearly identical—attempt to remove President Trump from office, overturn the 2016 election, and shower deplorable-Americans with contempt and hatred. But our ruling elites have no shame..."
