John,

Earlier today, I called to congratulate Congresswoman Kim on her victory in this race for CA-40.

I know this campaign did not go as we had hoped, but I want to take a moment and say thank you. Many of you have been with me since day one, and because of your hard work, we put this district on the map as one of the most competitive races in the country.

It is easy to feel disheartened by these results. However, this defeat does not mark the end of our movement. I believe in the American people and our willingness to fight for what’s right. So, I encourage all of you to continue to organize and find hope in each other as I found in all of you in tough moments during this campaign.

I wish for Young Kim’s success because she will represent all of us in this district - Democrats, Republicans, and Independents.
