My work in TX-31 and Congress   Dear Texan, After a busy week I wanted to take this opportunity to update you on what’s happening in the U.S. House and Texas’ 31st district. ON THE DOCKET: Meeting with German Leaders Military Family Appreciation Month Constituent Services Update THE BRIEF: Real wages have decreased under Biden 10 out of the 12 months in the last year. Diesel prices are approximately 50% higher than they were this time last year, at $5.31 a gallon. President Biden doubled down on his war on American energy this week promising “no more drilling.” Congressman Carter met with German leaders. MEETING WITH GERMAN LEADERS I met with members from the German Parliament and business leaders to discuss the importance of energy independence, the war in Ukraine, and the role of the federal government in the United States. Discussions like these allow both countries to stay up to date on each nation’s priorities and continue to grow this important strategic relationship in Europe. I appreciate this delegation taking the time to discuss issues that are affecting not only our two countries but the entire world. MILITARY FAMILY APPRECIATION MONTH November is Military Family Appreciation Month. Not just this month, but every month, we honor the families of our servicemen and women.
