Democrats,
Today is Veterans Day and we are honored to recognize the veterans who have served our great nation, alongside their families. Their sacrifices, strength, bravery, and selflessness epitomize what America stands for and we are proud to salute them today and every day. Know that our nation will always be indebted to you for who you are and for what you have done for America.
New Mexico is home to more than 142,000 military veterans, 4 military bases, 2 national laboratories, and critical infrastructure and facilities, all of which are crucial to our state. New Mexicans, including our Native American peoples, have a long history of serving at a higher proportion than most other states. It’s part of our culture, it’s in our DNA, and we are proud of it. Thank you to every veteran in New Mexico, across the country, and around the world.
