Today is Veterans Day, and I want to take a moment to recognize the service of thousands of Americans in our armed forces, and their children and families.

These brave men and women put their lives on the line and sacrificed to protect our country’s freedom and democracy both at home and abroad.

It is our veterans who are putting their lives at risk so we can continue to better our lives, communities, and nation.

In Congress, I promise to always advocate for the best interests of our veterans and current service members. Our government has a responsibility to ensure our veterans receive the quality care and benefits they deserve.

So today, I hope you will take a minute out of your day to honor these heroes.

And to our veterans in Ohio’s first Congressional District and beyond — I deeply thank you for your service to our country. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your service and your sacrifice.
