Veterans Day 2022

Today is Veterans Day. My family and I extend our deepest gratitude to the brave men and women who have served our country. We owe our veterans a tremendous debt that can never be repaid.

I hope that you and your families enjoy this long weekend while taking time to honor our veterans. Our military veterans exemplify the great American values of patriotism, sacrifice, and honor.

Legislative Priority Survey

As Congress gets back into session, we face a number of important challenges. I want to hear what you think are the most important essential fights ahead. Your feedback will greatly help me to serve you. 

Tropical Storm Nicole

Yesterday, Tropical Storm Nicole made landfall in Florida, and is passing over North Carolina today. The storm continues to weaken, and while it doesn’t currently pose a major risk, North Carolinians should still stay vigilant. Our area will likely receive 0.5-2 inches of rain.

NC Emergency Management is warning that there could be some severe weather in southeastern NC and western NC. Damaging wind gusts and locally heavy downpours are the primary threats during this storm.

Now Hiring Spring Interns!

My office is now hiring Spring interns. All internships are paid and offer students the opportunity to gain valuable experience serving on Capitol Hill.

Interns will be asked to answer phones, conduct research for the Member and legislative staff, assist the communications team, attend hearings and briefings, and participate in educational opportunities.
