Veterans Day
Today we celebrate and honor the best among us — our brave Veterans — who put their lives on the line to keep us safe and defend our freedoms.
There are around 19 million Veterans living in the United States today, each of whom raised their hands to serve, and were willing to put it all on the line for the sake of our country. I believe healing our country starts with these military heroes who know what it is like to serve alongside women and men from various backgrounds and with different viewpoints. At the end of the day, we are Americans first.
To our Veterans, especially those who have lost friends or loved ones, your valiance is not forgotten, and your sacrifices are valued. Because of you and your bravery, Camille and I can raise our daughters in a country that is free with boundless opportunities.
To the families of our military members: know that the sacrifices you made in your daily lives are not taken for granted. Your support allowed your hero to charge forward in the fight for freedom.
I want to say a special thank you to my wonderful wife, Camille, and our three daughters who sacrificed so much and served alongside me during my service in the U.S. Air Force.
Please take time today to call a Veteran and their family members to tell them thank you. Kindness and recognition can make a world of difference to a Veteran, spouse, or child who may be enduring a difficult time.
Happy Veterans Day to all those who have served, sacrificed, protected, and defended our nation. God bless you, and God bless America!
