In April, I took to the Michigan Senate floor to take a stand for those who don't have a voice, defending the children being used by my Republican colleagues to stoke hate.

On that day, I recommitted myself to winning back the Michigan Senate for the first time in nearly forty years. But it was never something one person could do alone – and you and this grassroots team showed up in a big way to make it happen.

Together, we raised millions of dollars to invest in winning a historically underfunded ballot level. We put organizers on the ground, met voters where they were, and helped as many as we could get to the polls. And we won.

Now, in addition to flipping BOTH chambers of the Michigan legislature and the Minnesota Senate – standing up new Democratic trifectas in both states – state Democrats are winning big across the country, too.

In fact, Democrats are on track to hold onto every single one of their majorities – the first time the party in power hasn't lost a single state legislative chamber during a midterm election year since at least 1934.

But our work in this election isn't over yet: State Democrats across the country are still facing recounts, run-offs, and special elections across the country in states like Pennslyvania, New Hampshire, and Minnesota in the next few weeks, so this fight isn’t over.
