This Veterans Day, please join me in thanking our service men and women for their dedication and the many sacrifices they have made to protect our freedoms and defend our great nation.

I am honored to be able to continue my service in Congress including my work on the House Armed Services Committee, and will continue to fight daily on behalf of our servicemembers and veterans to ensure they receive the benefits they deserve, including increased access to VA healthcare services and affordable housing.

Today, I also reflect on my own decision to enlist in the Marine Corps Reserves at age 19. I have never known a greater sense of camaraderie or courage than when serving alongside my fellow men and women in uniform, and I am grateful to have been of service to our country.

Thank you for taking a moment today to join me in recognizing our brave service men and women, and thanking them for all they do for our country.
