Friend,
Each year, Veterans Day reminds us of the tremendous respect and gratitude owed to the brave American soldiers who have fought for our freedom.
Our country is great because of the extraordinary sacrifices the men and women of our armed services have made, and continue to make, on our behalf.
It is not sufficient to recognize and support our veterans for one day out of the year when over 1.5 million veterans live at or below the poverty line in America. As they re-enter civilian life after service, we must guarantee they are equipped with the resources they need to get comprehensive health care, good-paying jobs, and affordable housing. We must return the support for these brave men and women who gave so much for our country.
Our veterans need and deserve our unwavering support, and I won’t stop fighting on Capitol Hill to support them.
Please take time today to thank a veteran for their service.
