In 1918, on the eleventh day of the eleventh month at the eleventh hour, the combatants of WWI signed an armistice, ending the war. Now, we take November 11 every year to celebrate the valor and sacrifice of America’s veterans.
We know that freedom isn’t free, and must be protected by men and women who are willing to risk their lives in its defense. Our nation is eternally grateful for all that our veterans have given, so I hope you will join me today in honoring their bravery.
As long as I’m in office, I will always remember the debt our country owes its veterans. I’m proud to have fought for them before, and I’m proud to say I always will.
So from my family to yours, and on behalf of everybody here at Team Armstrong, happy Veterans Day. And to anybody reading this who has served in our armed forces - thank you.
