Happy Veterans Day, team.

Saying thank you is important, but showing our thanks is even better. One of the best parts of my job is paying tribute to the men and women who serve or have served our nation.

If you've served this country, we should have your back. That means all veterans should get the benefits that they've earned. It means that in the land of the free and the home of the brave, every brave service member should have a home. And it means that if you've fought for your country, you shouldn't have to fight for a job when you complete your service.

I've proudly supported several pieces of legislation to support our nation's veterans. From bipartisan bills to make the VA more accessible to legislation to help end the veteran mental health crisis to initiatives focused on ensuring every veteran has a job – these bills are the very least our government can do to repay those who've put their lives on the line for this country.

Every year when Veterans Day approaches, I recommit myself to making sure every veteran receives the benefits they have earned and deserve. I hope you'll join me, team.

To all veterans — we will never take for granted your bravery and selflessness. Your service is what keeps our country free and safe.

It's an honor to represent you,

Derek
