Hi Global Citizen,

What’s your treasured childhood memory? Mine is of family visits to my
grandmother in Jutshume, a village in Zimbabwe. After enjoying our favorite
dishes, we would listen to our elders sharing entertaining stories about our
land, history and culture.

But over time, these storytelling circles became smaller as my grandmother’s
village ran out of food due to increasing droughts. Little did I know that
climate injustice was at the core of why my grandmother and her village were
suffering.

This is what drives my activism. I now wake up every day in pursuit of
improving the lives of Africans while fighting for the future of our planet.

Join me in fighting for a greener, fairer future for Africa.

Fossil fuels like oil and gas are at the centre of our current climate
catastrophe. They have destablised our climate causing droughts and floods,
displaced our communities, and polluted our environment.

Right now, at COP27, there are powerful interests pushing for more destructive
fossil fuel extraction from the African continent at the cost of African lives.

This is not the future we want. I am campaigning with others across the
continent for an end to fossil fuel extraction in Africa and investment in
clean, renewable technologies accessible to everyone.

We are fighting for a different path forward – one that puts our lives, and
the lives of people like my grandma and her community, over corporate profits
and dirty money.

Global Citizen join me today. Call for investment in clean, accessible energy
for all and an end to destructive fossil fuel extraction.
