A note of thanks as we turn towards 2020.
National Domestic Workers Alliance

John -- 2019 was a year of telling our stories, a year of organizing, and most importantly, a year of victories for immigrant women and women of color -- and you have to see the results for yourself:

We often close our emails saying 'thank you for all you do.' This video makes me swell with pride thinking about all we've been able to achieve in 2019.

Together, we:

  • Worked with Sen. Kamala Harris and Rep. Pramila Jayapal to introduce a National Domestic Workers Bill of Rights AND got 79 representatives to sign on as co-sponsors in the House!
  • Won new rights for domestic workers in the state of New Mexico and in cities like Philadelphia which just passed a city-wide Domestic Workers Bill of Rights, and in Washington, D.C., where nannies, house cleaners, and caregivers organized to get City Council to introduce a Domestic Worker Bill of Rights in September.
  • Through Families Belong Together, we worked tirelessly to hold the Trump administration accountable for its horrific treatment of immigrant families.

We have A LOT to do in 2020, but we are energized and ready -- in huge part because of supporters like you.

Thanks for all you do,

Ai-jen Poo, Executive Director
