The One-Minute Meeting

Somebody, we don’t know who, posted a tweet Thursday that raised hopes that one of the world's biggest drug companies, Eli Lilly, was about to make insulin free. It turned out to be a lie/fake that played off of protests over insulin prices and Twitter’s new for-pay verification checkmarks.

How do we choose the Speaker of the House? Maybe the balance of power for the U.S. House will be settled over the weekend, but in the meantime, let’s take a moment to remind ourselves how the leader of the House is chosen. It may surprise you to know that the Constitution does not require the Speaker to be a member of Congress. It could even be you. Maybe it should be. I will take you on a romp through Article I, Section II of the U.S. Constitution, which is always great Friday fun.
