This month marks the start of Islamophobia Awareness Month and the 10th year of the campaign with the theme: Tackling Denial
This issue continues to be pervasive for British Muslim communities, with anti-Muslim hate crimes reported to the Police making up over 40% of statistics and 3,459 offences committed in the year ending March 2022 alone.
Successive governments in the last 5 years have failed to deal with the very real problem of Islamophobia faced by British Muslims, while in some cases Islamophobia has been exacerbated by politicians, right-wing think tanks and the far right.
We invite you to support this year's IAM 2022 campaign, raise awareness, host an event, write to your MP and share the Khutbah at your mosque.
