While we wait for more results to come in, voters in many states can still fix minor errors on their mail-in ballots so they can be counted. This is called the cure process; you can learn more about it by clicking the banner below. As of today, we’ve tracked 191 lawsuits filed in 2022 across 35 states. 108 of these lawsuits are currently active and ongoing.

Here are some updates from today. |
In Arizona, Cochise County announced a plan to hand count all ballots cast in select races, despite a court order prohibiting the action. After Cochise County asked the state Supreme Court to step in and block the lower court’s order, the court denied the county’s motion to transfer its appeal directly to the state’s highest court. Then, the county filed a motion for expedited briefing in the appellate court, which was also denied.
|
In Florida, due to Hurricane Nicole, the deadline to cure mail-in and provisional ballots is extended until 5 p.m. EST on Saturday, Nov. 12 in certain counties.
|
In Nevada, there are over 50,000 ballots that still need to be counted in Clark County. The majority of these ballots will be counted by Saturday. The county will continue to accept mail-in ballots postmarked by Nov. 8 through Saturday, as required by Nevada law. There are 7,155 ballots that need to be cured before 5:00 pm PST on Monday, Nov. 14. The county's curing hotline (702-455-6552) is available for voters who need assistance curing their ballot.

Here’s what to expect coming up. |
Between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. MST / 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. EST tonight, Maricopa County is expected to release more results from mail-in ballots received Saturday night, Sunday and Monday. Patience is key here as the majority of ballots most likely will not be finished being counted until after the weekend, according to a spokesperson for the Maricopa County Elections Department.
