On Friday, Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. there will be a short ceremony to honor our veterans at the Oswego Veterans Memorial Plaza in downtown Oswego. Oswego American Legion Post 675, Oswego Fire Protection District and Oswego Police Department will post the colors, play bagpipe music and conduct a firing party.
Village Hall offices will be closed on Friday, Nov. 11 in observance of Veterans Day.

Free Fall Clean-up next week
Oswego's free Fall Clean-up Collection takes place the week of Nov. 14 on your regularly scheduled garbage day. Now is your chance to dispose of extra household garbage, yard waste and bulk items. If you'd like to clean off your parkway this weekend, you may also use this opportunity to put out leaves in Kraft bags.?
Place all items on the curb by 6 a.m. on your collection day. Use additional containers and plastic bags for household waste.?Fill 30-lbs Kraft paper bags with leaves and yard waste; stickers are not needed. Large items such as furniture, exercise equipment, and rugs will be collected.?Hazardous waste [ [link removed] ], appliances, TVs, or other electronics will not be collected.?Visit the Village's?Garbage/Recycling page [ [link removed] ]?for more information.

Mark your calendar for Friday, Dec. 2 to make family memories at the Oswego Christmas Walk [ [link removed] ] presented by Allied First Bank!?
The free event features performances by local choirs, rides on the Toyland train, Santa?s reindeer, live ice sculpting, an inflatable sled hill, the Village?s annual tree lighting performance and an emergency vehicle light parade.

Christmas Walk parade volunteers needed
The Village of Oswego and the Oswego Fire Protection District are looking for 80 volunteers at the Dec. 2 Christmas Walk to assist with keeping patrons safe during the emergency vehicle parade.
It?s a short, but very important time commitment from 7:45 to 8:30 p.m. Sign up here [ [link removed] ] and then meet in front of the Oswego Public Library on Dec. 2 at 7:45 p.m. with your gloves on!
