What was running through your head as you watched the election results coming in the other night? Being from Michigan, it was a tough night. I went from anger to sadness, then to hope.
As I came to the realization that the pro-abortion Proposition 3 in Michigan was going to pass, I moved from initial thoughts that voting for abortion is flat-out evil, to recognizing so many voters are deceived and fearful. I found myself drawn to Romans 8:38-39, finding hope in the fact that nothing can keep us from the love of God through Christ – NOTHING! But those voters most likely don’t have that hope.
Now, as the results of the mid-term election are still being tallied and control of Congress is still uncertain, there is one thing that is certain – as pro-life, pro-family, social conservatives, we have work to do.
We cannot and will not stop fighting for God-honoring policies regardless of who has control of the House and Senate – it’s what we are called to do. Power changes hands, but our values remain the same, including being involved in our communities, loving our neighbors and sharing the Truth with those who most desperately need it.
The liberal agenda in our country is out of control. The good news is FPA is uniquely positioned to facilitate change in our nation.
