Just think of what we’ve accomplished in these midterms.
Friend,
What. A. Week.
After sleepless nights, countless hours on the campaign trail, and late nights in the office, we celebrate. By delivering critical victories in must-hold states like Wisconsin, Nevada, Minnesota, Colorado, and Michigan, we are overjoyed to say that the right to abortion access and the right to vote will be protected for millions and millions of Americans.
We’re proud to re-elect Dem AGs like Josh Kaul, Aaron Ford, Keith Ellison, Phil Weiser, and Dana Nessel, who stood their ground against extremist opponents who sought to use fear and division to gain higher office. And while we came up short in Iowa, Georgia, and Texas, we’re extremely proud of these candidates who left it all out on the campaign trail. We know their efforts have helped create progress for years to come.
As we’re waiting for further results to be delivered in Arizona, we are always looking toward the future. Democracy is not a spectator sport. It’s an ongoing series of trials and obstacles that we all play a role in, and it’s up to us to determine how significant our role will be. And we’ve never been more determined to continue to elect Democratic AGs.
Once we’ve swept up the confetti and put the coffee pot on, we’ll be back to work. Our team is humbled to work on behalf of so many wonderful candidates and AGs, and we cannot wait to see the progress they achieve over the coming years.
We are so proud of our Democratic AGs, our staffers, and of you, friend. We know that navigating the political minefield that is 2022 is no easy task, and we want to thank you. Thank you for your support, for your time, for your energy. Every single one of you has helped us deliver historic victories, and ensure that abortion access and democracy are respected across the nation.
Thanks,
Democratic Attorneys General Association
