Dear Washingtonians,
Thank you, DC. You have once again charged me with grappling with our big challenges, building on our great successes, and setting a bold vision for DC’s future. In turn, I promise to make DC proud.
Now, I want you to be a part of something big — DC's comeback. Yesterday, we launched together.dc.gov where you can go to share your big ideas. I want to hear your big ideas for expanding democracy, fighting for the middle class, ending gun violence, reimagining our downtown, getting all students on pathways to success, and making sure we continue to position DC as a strong, sustainable, and resilient city.
In addition to sharing your big ideas, I also want you to consider a career at DC Government. Working at DC Government is a unique experience – we operate as a city, county, and state. That means we can move from idea to implementation in a single budget cycle. We are a place where people come to start their careers, to grow their careers, and to make a difference in our community. And while no two paths to DC Government are the same, our team shares one thing in common: we are passionate about Washington, DC. If you are too, join us.
Thank you for your trust.
Let’s keep moving DC forward, together.
Sincerely,
With cold weather expected this weekend, Mayor Bowser is calling on residents to stay vigilant and to help unsheltered neighbors by calling the Shelter Hotline. You can request transportation to shelter for yourself or someone else by calling the Shelter Hotline at (202) 399-7093 or by dialing 311. If you see someone outside in the cold and believe there is an immediate medical emergency, call 911.
