JOhn,
I'm deeply honored to have the trust and support again of the great people who make up Virginia's 10th District — and I'll continue to be a voice for them on economic opportunity, healthcare, reproductive justice, LGBTQ equality, education, the environment, and access to the ballot box.
This victory wouldn't have been possible without you. Whether you made phone calls, gave a few dollars, or shared our messages on social media, you helped ensure that we reached voters where we needed to.
This was my toughest race yet, and you all fought harder than ever before. While we still await the returns from key races around the country where Democrats over-performed, we should take a moment to reflect on what we accomplished here in VA-10. On Tuesday, we showed that Northern Virginians are determined to secure hard-won progress and that they have faith in the work we've done to lower the cost of living for families and secure our democracy.
When I first made the decision to run for public office – an unsuccessful Commonwealth’s Attorney campaign run out of my own kitchen – I never imagined it would lead me all the way to the halls of Congress.
But with each new step along the journey – the more people whose stories I’ve gotten to know, the communities that have welcomed me and invited me to celebrate with them, and the remarkable ways I’ve seen Virginia's 10th District grow and thrive – my love of public service has only grown. Now, I’m more excited than ever to get back to work fighting for Virginia families.
I'm so incredibly grateful to all of you, and whatever path lies ahead for our country after tonight, I will make sure your voices remain heard.
Sincerely,
Jennifer
