Dear John,

Before we log off and spend some much-needed time together as a family, we just wanted to say one last thank you to everyone who voted, volunteered, donated, or simply cheered Patty on in the NE-01 Election.

When Patty launched her campaign almost one year ago to the day, we were unsure of what to expect. We often see the nasty side of politics in the headlines and on the news, but wow — we should all be so proud of the strong, clean, and kind campaign we’ve run over the last year.

Your support allowed us to turnout the largest showing for a Democratic candidate since 1964. We hope you feel the same optimism for our future that you’ve given our family.

Though these aren’t the results we were hoping for, seeing countless Nebraskans of all ages rally to protect our fundamental freedoms and champion a better, brighter future for our state has been and will continue to be such an inspiration. We know that our state is in incredible hands with a community as committed to progress as NE-01.

John, from our family to yours, thank you for all you have done to support Patty. We’re so proud of all the work we’ve accomplished together.
