Game and Fish honors 2022 Landowners of the Year

For nearly three decades the Wyoming Game and Fish Department has recognized landowners who have demonstrated outstanding wildlife management and implemented habitat improvement and conservation techniques on their properties with the landowner of the year awards. The Wyoming Game and Fish Department has documented a disease outbreak in the Devil's Canyon bighorn sheep herd northeast of Lovell.?*Game and Fish was first alerted of the dieoff by a report from a landowner and a mortality signal from a GPS collared bighorn sheep in the herd. Funding available for Wyoming sage grouse conservation
Sage grouse

Funding is available to support projects benefiting sage grouse and their habitats. The Wyoming Game and Fish Commission expects to allocate $548,000 to support eight local Sage Grouse Working Groups to fund projects and address the primary threats to sage grouse as identified in their local conservation plans.?*Groups can submit project proposals online. Wyldlife Fund partners with Muley Fanatic Foundation, Monteith Shop to tell the story of mule deer F014.
