While the public has gotten much more behind climate action over the years, according to the LA Times, climate was still not a major focus of the midterm election nationwide.
Up and down the state, we’re grappling with drought conditions, wildfires, extreme heat, and other catastrophic weather events that are more deadly and more commonplace than ever before. And yet, in the face of a wealth of misinformation from billionaires, Prop 30 was defeated.
Still, we’ve got a great shot at electing much of our Climate Slate to the Legislature, with many of those priority races too close to call at the moment.
So the LA Times asks: “Is that a sign of climate hope or an indication that even liberal California has a long way to go?”
