I just wanted to thank you for the trust you’ve put in me to represent the greatest place on earth in the United States Senate.
Your grassroots involvement isn’t just helpful in the political sense; it also gives me the strength I need to fight for our values. Knowing you have my back makes me better at this.
We’ve got a lot to work on: climate action, reducing the cost of living for the people of Hawaii, fighting for equal rights, and making sure that the great American experiment survives. But today, even with the House and the Senate still unsettled, is a day to acknowledge the hard work that we’ve done together, and to recommit ourselves to our common values. Freedom. Equality and opportunity for everyone. Taking care of each other and our planet.
