Our civil rights are woven together — and when one thread is pulled, other rights can unravel. The Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization will threaten not only our abortion rights, but many other civil rights as well. Dobbs is a case about the right to abortion. But the decision in Dobbs affects a lot of other rights as well. The decision in Dobbs affects rights like:

* The right to get married

* The right for adults to have sex

* The right to get birth control

* The right to have children

And more.

There is a lot of information about what is happening at the Supreme Court and how it affects our rights, but most of it is not accessible or easy to understand. This toolkit will talk about why these rights are important, and why they are in danger after the Dobbs decision. It will also talk about what we can do to protect our rights. These issues impact people with disabilities, and it’s important that we have accessible information about what’s going on at the Supreme Court.

The toolkit is available in two versions:

Our Extra Space edition. The Extra Space version is written in Plain Language. It uses large text and has more white space. Click here to download the Extra Space version of “Our Rights Under Threat: What Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization Means for People with Disabilities.” [[link removed]]

A Plain Language version with smaller text and not as much white space. Click here to download the Plain Language version of “Our Rights Under Threat: What Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization Means for People with Disabilities.” [[link removed]]

We are working on an Easy Read version with images as well.

To learn more about the Dobbs decision and how we are fighting back, join our panel “Our Rights Under Threat: Reproductive Justice and LGBTQ+ Advocacy” on Tuesday, November 22nd at 7pm Eastern time. This panel [[link removed]] highlights the overlapping attacks on reproductive and LGBTQIA+ rights that occurred in 2022, and how our community can fight back. Want to learn how to share your story to impact change, how to build a coalition, and how to make change nationally and locally? Tune in!

The event will be held live on Zoom [[link removed]] , but will also be streamed to YouTube [[link removed]] . The event will remain on our YouTube channel after the event.

It is a hard and scary time, but we can work hard to protect our communities. We will all continue to fight for our rights. But we are strong together, and we can fight for our rights!
