How Will Student Debt Cancellation Impact You?

GREAT NEWS: the application for student debt cancellation is live!

To apply, visit: studentaid.gov/debtrelief/apply

Dear Neighbor,

I hope this email reaches you and your family in good health and safety.

Last month, Senator Elizabeth Warren and I visited communities across Massachusetts to celebrate the Biden administration’s student debt cancellation plan and joined advocates to help residents sign up for student loan relief. According to official estimates released by the White House, approximately 813,000 Massachusetts borrowers are eligible for debt cancellation, including 101,800 borrowers in the Massachusetts 7th Congressional District.

Over 26 million people have signed up for student debt relief, and so far, 16 million applications have been approved by the Department of Education. Unfortunately, this relief is currently on hold due to frivolous lawsuits by Republican elected officials who are doing everything they can to stop it, even for their own constituents. But the Biden Administration is ready to cancel this debt the moment these lawsuits resolve. Rest assured, I will continue pressing for this life-changing and life-saving relief.

In the meantime, I encourage you to apply for relief at studentaid.gov/debtrelief/apply.

I also want to hear how this relief will impact you and your loved ones:
