Happy November!

This month, Texas Is Ready is equipping families and communities with the
information and resources necessary to empower themselves to have those
"Key Conversations" with the young people in their lives. 

Informed parents and caretakers of young people are not only better able to
help their teens stay healthy and reach their full potential, but are also
better positioned to partner with and support schools as they implement
sexual health education. 

We encourage you to join us for and invite the families that you serve to
an implementation of the "Key Conversations" program on November 14th.

NEW PARENT RESOURCES

The Texas Is Ready website has been updated with new information for
parents and caretakers. Check out the new resources here [4].

DID YOU HEAR THE NEWS? WE HAVE MERGED!

The Texas Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy (statewide), Ntarupt |
North Texas Alliance to Reduce Unintended Pregnancy in Teens (Dallas),
and Healthy Futures of Texas (San Antonio) have merged to improve the
well-being of young Texans through equitable access to sexual health
education and resources.

The newly formed organization will move forward under the name HEALTHY
FUTURES OF TEXAS to close gaps in statewide sexual health education and
resources affecting young Texans.

We will continue to provide the same local services while supporting a
larger statewide strategy. We believe that the youth of Texas deserve the
resources and agency to realize their full potentials.
