ELECTION 2022

Election 2022
Thank You, Election Judges
In Minnesota, as many as 30,000 election judges serve as temporary, paid employees trained to handle all aspects of voting. These essential public servants assist residents with navigating the process of voting, provide an added level of trust and security, remain non-partisan and impartial, and act within the rule of law currently in place.
Election judges receive extensive training in the absentee voting and polling place processes, as well as the use of electronic roster and registration devices, ballot counters, ADA accessible voting machines and more. They also participate in the testing of all equipment used for secure data transmission and accuracy.
Working as an election judge is a tremendous service to the community!
*The City of Mendota Heights would like to thank the more than 90 residents who served as election judges and helped provide a fair and balanced 2022 Election.*

This partnership provides unparalleled services that help our heroes receive the attention they deserve.
More than 23,000 residents of Dakota County are Veterans, and Beyond the Yellow Ribbon volunteers are available to help them with everything from replacing a furnace to finding employment, or even a simple warm meal. Donations to the organization directly support resources and services for Veterans.

Ka-Plow!
Ka-Plow! Joins the Fleet
You know winter has officially arrived when the bright orange plow trucks appear on the streets of Mendota Heights!
Whether pretreating the streets with brine to avoid a buildup of ice and snow, or surging through a snowstorm to clear a safe and passable route, these plows and their dedicated drivers are the superheroes of the season.
This year, the City of Mendota Heights has added a shiny new plow to its fleet of snow removal equipment. And thanks to hundreds of you who helped choose a name, Ka-Plow! will soon hit the streets.
Reminder
Residents can help with snow removal efforts by shoveling around hydrants and mailboxes, and by clearing the sidewalks in front of their homes. Remember, it is illegal to place snow on a public roadway. Also, be sure to place trash and recycling bins behind the curb line.
