On Tuesday voters in Texas overwhelmingly passed ALL FIVE of Ground Game Texas’s initiatives to decriminalize marijuana.

We couldn’t have done this without you. Our army of organizers, volunteers, donors, and everyday Texans delivered progressive change in five communities in Texas. And we’re just getting started.

The results in Texas weren’t everything we wanted, particularly at the statewide level. We’re grateful for candidates like Beto O’Rourke and Michelle Vallejo who stepped up and ran campaigns that we can all be proud of. We still have so much work to do to unseat corrupt and extreme right-wing politicians trying to take our state backward. But we also want to celebrate where we succeeded.

These initiatives will make a huge difference in so many peoples’ lives. They also helped to bring new voters into the fold and engage lots of new voters in the political process. That’s what Ground Game Texas has always been about—not delivering change from the top down, but instead, from the ground up.

There are no off years. We’ve already secured ballot initiatives for 2023 and are working on expanding our footprint. But we need your help to make sure we kick off 2023 strong.
