Hello John,

Women across generations and geographies went ALL IN this election cycle, working together tirelessly on campaigns up and down the ballot, getting out the vote, and showing up at the polls.

While we are still awaiting final outcomes, we do know that this work will have a lasting impact on our democracy. Highlights from the IGNITE community include: 

• IGNITE alumna Munira Abdullahi was elected to serve as the first Somali-American in the Ohio State Legislature.
• 96% of IGNITE women who were eligible to vote did so this election season.
• 25% of IGNITE women volunteered 20+ hours this election season.
• IGNITE hosted over 30 #IGNITEtheVote Bootcamps, organizing 1,000+ young women to activate their communities to vote.

Now we come TOGETHER as one powerful community. 

Together let’s celebrate all the women from the IGNITE community that ran phenomenal races this election season! We were so pleased to see a dozen of our alumni on the ballot. And for each person who ran, hundreds more worked on campaigns. Drop a note on this Kudo Board, congratulating young women in the IGNITE community and/or sharing a reflection on the election season. 

Together let’s reflect and learn. Join us for our November 30th Election Debrief to hear from a cross-generational panel of women political leaders who ran and worked on campaigns this season. We will unpack voting trends, how young women fared, and what's next for the policies young women care most about. 

The work continues. 

What is different now is that we recognize that together we have power!  Together, we will heal the divides that exist in this country. Together we will create a better future for all.
