  • Wednesday, November 16 from 9 am ? 10 am: Maine Cyber / IT Apprenticeships: A Workforce Development Solution
    • Safal Partners, with the support of the Maine Department of Labor, will host a live webinar, ?Cybersecurity/IT Apprenticeships, A Workforce Development Solution." The webinar will highlight the National Cybersecurity Apprenticeship Sprint which was launched on July 19, 2022 at the White House Cyber Workforce and Education Summit. Safal Partners, a USDOL National Industry Intermediary, is leading work on the Sprint to assist employers in every sector and industry build a stronger, more skilled cyber, IT and tech workforce through registered apprenticeship.     • This webinar is focused on helping apprenticeship employers and sponsors better understand disability awareness and resources, how to promote an inclusive environment and how the Maine Bureau of Rehabilitation Services can help them in their efforts to increase apprenticeship opportunities here in Maine.
  • Friday, November 18 from 10 am ? 11 am: Panel Discussion: Building Your Talent Pipeline Through Registered Apprenticeship
    • Hear from current apprenticeship sponsors ? General Dynamics Bath Iron Works, HospitalityMaine, and Somerset Career & Technical Center ? on how they started their registered apprenticeship programs to meet workforce needs. Each will provide a brief overview of their programs, followed by a facilitated discussion with opportunity for attendees to ask questions.
