Did you hear that with our U.S. 501(c)(3) Charitable Tax Status, we also are now eligible to receive donations via Facebook - which comes just in time for #GivingTuesday. It’s hard to believe it’s just about that time of the year again and that it’s less than three weeks away! We hope this #GivingTuesday you will help support World BEYOND War by holding a Facebook fundraiser for us — or, if you’d rather cut through the corporate tape or you live in a country in which holding a Facebook fundraiser is not allowed, you can still help stop war this #GivingTuesday by becoming a recurring donor directly via our website. While we wish we didn’t have to depend on a large social media corporation to organize fundraising efforts, we are hopeful that holding fundraisers will also help spread the word across the globe about the work we’re doing - an invaluable benefit.
I think it’s safe to say that we all agree that we are in precarious and dangerous times. With the threat of nuclear war looming, and our livelihoods and the world as we know it at stake, there is no more important time to invest in moving resources away from war making and towards protecting our planet.
We know many of you have already given very generously, and in thanks, we continue to develop a number of exciting benefits for our bigger supporters, all of which are optional, and all of which are available for past donors as well as future, and all of which never expire. With your support, we can continue to offer free webinars like the one we did last night, online courses, podcast interviews with activists from around the world, critical free resources and tools for activists and organizations across the globe, billboards to promote peace and decry the impacts of war, mentorship and educational tools for young peacebuilders from around the world with our Peace Education and Action for Impact program, campaign support for cities working across the U.S. to divest from the war machine, and support and help for communities all over the world who are working to stop the building of or expansion of military bases that are ruining their sustainability.
