Dear Friend, The results are in… and it’s been quite the 2022 General Election for Maryland. We asked you to go #AllBlueIn2022 and you sure did. Thank you for getting out the vote these past two weeks and sticking with us through an incredible Election Day. |
Wes Moore was elected as our new State Governor and we couldn’t be more happy about this win. He is Maryland’s first Black Governor and only the third Black Governor ever elected in the country. We are pleased to have the Governor’s seat filled by someone who is actually dedicated to improving the lives of working families and hope that this is the start of a new direction for Maryland. Aruna Miller also became the first Indian woman elected as Lt. Governor in Maryland. Together, Moore and Miller make a powerhouse team and we can’t wait to witness the changes they make together to better our communities.

We are also excited that Anthony Brown made history too as Maryland’s first Black Attorney General-Elect. And Brooke Lierman became the first woman to be our Comptroller-Elect. We are thrilled to be entering 2023 with this amazing team as part of our state leadership.
And of course, a huge THANK YOU! Thank you to the hard work of our endorsed candidates, organizing staff, communications staff and election team volunteers who helped bring these victories to life. After 30 days of daily canvassing, phonebanking, textbanking, and strong digital outreach that reached millions of people statewide, Progressive Maryland went all in yesterday. We contacted over 160,000 people by calling, texting, and door knocking. Our hard work truly paid off and I could not be more proud.
