8. Here's How Much Campaign Cash Beto O'Rourke Has Burned Losing Races Up and Down the Ballot
Former Rep. Beto O'Rourke, D-Texas, has burned roughly $175 million running unsuccessful campaigns for a series of different offices in just four years.
In 2018, O'Rourke's campaign for Senate raised a whopping $80.3 million, according to Federal Election Commission data. The massive sum included a record-shattering $38.1 million quarterly haul raised between July 2018 and September 2018.
O'Rourke raised another $18.6 million during his short-lived presidential campaign, which lasted a mere seven months.
And during the 2022 gubernatorial campaign, O'Rourke set more records, pulling in more than $76 million in the year since he announced his intention to run for the seat, The Texas Tribune reported. 5. China Is Attempting To Influence US Kids By Offering An ‘Opium Version’ Of TikTok, Expert Says
The Chinese government offers its children a more limited, beneficial version of the popular app TikTok than the “opium version” offered to kids in the United States, an expert said in a recent report.
Tristan Harris, co-founder of the Center for Humane Technology, told “60 Minutes” Saturday that, according to TikTok’s Chinese parent company, ByteDance, the version of TikTok given to Chinese consumers provides children with a vastly different experience. The Chinese equivalent of TikTok, Douyin, gives kids under 14 years old a 40-minute daily limit and serves them patriotic and educational content.

4. Biden Calls for Federal Investigation of Elon Musk Over ‘Relationships with Other Countries’
“Do you think Elon Musk is a threat to US national security?” a Bloomberg News reporter asked Biden at his third solo White House press conference since taking office.
“And should the US — and with the tools you have — investigate his joint acquisition of Twitter with foreign governments, which include the Saudis?” .
“I think that Elon Musk’s cooperation and/or technical relationships with other countries is worthy of being looked at,” Biden answered. “Whether or not he is doing anything inappropriate, I’m not suggesting that. I’m suggesting that it’s worth being looked at.
“How?” another journalist followed up.
“There’s a lot of ways,” Biden said without elaborating.

3. Washington Post Fact-Check Blasts Biden with ‘Bottomless Pinocchio’ Rating
The Washington Post crowned President Biden Monday with its Trump-era “bottomless Pinocchio” rating after he told multiple untruths and committed several gaffes ahead of Tuesday’s midterm elections.
It’s the first time the newspaper has “awarded” Biden the not-so-coveted rating, which it defines as a statement repeated at least 20 times that is so false that it has received either “three Pinocchios” or “four Pinocchios” on prior occasions.
The statement in question is Biden’s oft-repeated claim that he has spent “more time with [Chinese President] Xi Jinping than any other head of state,” traveling “17,000 miles with him.” The statement has been proven false, with the White House in February 2021 telling the newspaper it was “a reference to the total travel back and forth — both internally in the US and China, and as well as internationally — for meetings they held together.”
But even that claim proved to be inaccurate.

1. ‘Nothing’: Biden Replies To Reporter Asking What He’ll Do Differently
In his first press conference since January, Biden announced his intention to work with Republicans in Congress following the 2022 midterm elections. He then took a question from Zeke Miller of The Associated Press.
“You mentioned that Americans are frustrated. In fact, 75% of voters say the country is headed into the wrong direction despite the results of last night. What in the next two years do you intend to do differently to change people’s opinion of the direction of the country particularly as you contemplate a run for president in 2024?” Miller asked.
“Nothing,” the president answered. He added that the American people are “just finding out what we’re doing.”
