*IRS? five-year Strategic Plan now available in Spanish*"?"

IR-2022-198, Nov. 10, 2022

?

WASHINGTON ?? The Internal Revenue Service announced today that, for the first-time ever, the agency?s Strategic Plan for Fiscal Years 2022-2026 [ [link removed] ] is now available in Spanish [ [link removed] ]. This announcement aligns with the IRS?s continued effort to expand tax resources in more languages to provide taxpayers with the service they deserve.

As part of the agency?s new five-year Strategic Plan, the IRS has committed to increase the availability of services and tax products that are easy to use and support the needs of all communities. Recent multilingual efforts include the addition of a translation of the Instructions for Form 8821, Tax Information Authorization [ [link removed] ], in traditional Chinese as well as an expansion of its multilingual products, Braille, text, audio and large print products available in Spanish.

The Strategic Plan will serve as a roadmap to help guide the agency?s programs and operations. Developed with input from external partners as well as IRS employees, the plan focuses on four goals that will help improve customer service:

* *Service* ? Provide quality and accessible services to enhance the taxpayer experience.
* *Enforcement* ? Enforce the tax law fairly and efficiently to increase voluntary compliance and narrow the tax gap.
* *People* ? Foster an inclusive, diverse and well-equipped workforce and strengthen relationships with our external partners.
* *Transformation* ? Transform IRS operations to become more resilient, agile and responsive to improve the taxpayer experience and narrow the tax gap.

The IRS also has a Languages [ [link removed] ]_ _webpage available in 20 languages to help taxpayers find basic tax information. Some of the multilingual resources include the Taxpayer Bill of Rights [ [link removed] ], e-file [ [link removed] ] resources and many tax forms, instructions and publications [ [link removed] ].
