Hi John,

Election Day is finally over and we wanted to take this chance to debrief and also say thank you for the endless support that you put behind our team.

Despite the messages we saw for months – about a red wave, Latinos staying home, and more – Latinos turned out in massive numbers and played a critical role in helping Democrats defy predictions. Democrats picked up big wins in unexpected House, Senate, and governor’s races, with candidates like John Fetterman picking up a crucial Senate seat in Pennsylvania, and incumbents like Gretchen Whitmer in Michigan hanging on to what Republicans thought could be an easy win.

Nationwide, our community has established themselves as a core coalition in key battleground states: Latino voters supported Democrats by a wide margin according to election eve polling – in some cases a wider margin than in 2020. In Arizona, Latinos supported Senator Mark Kelly over his challenger Blake Masters by a rate of 67 to 32. In Nevada, Latinos supported Catherine Cortez Masto over Adam Laxalt by a margin of 64 to 34; in Pennsylvania the state’s growing Latino community favored John Fetterman by a 44 point margin. Latino voters also contributed to important wins in House races in Ohio and North Carolina.

And while states that we’ve been hard at work in like Arizona and Nevada remain uncalled, Latino voters cast ballots that are proving critical in creating a Democratic a path to victory. The path to victory is not yet definite, but our work certainly played a huge and critical role in Democrats’ prediction-defying performance nationwide.

While there’s still work to be done, we couldn’t have achieved these exciting results without our grassroots team. So from all of us here at Voto Latino: thank you for your unwavering support that allowed us to secure huge victories across important battleground states across the country – we hope we can continue to receive your support.
