John,
A Christian hospital plans to take away care from Jesus S. against his will TOMORROW.Â
This is shocking and immoral but still legal under the horrible Texas “10-Day Rule.”
Jesus is conscious and can even communicate, but the hospital’s “Futility Review” committee has already decided to take his basic treatment against his will.
Please pray that our patient advocacy team and lawyers can stop the countdown and save Jesus!

Jesus landed in the hospital in August due to complications from COVID-19.
His treatment is working and is helping him continue to fight, but the hospital still intends to take his trach, ventilator, dialysis, and blood pressure medications, which will prompt his death when removed.
Jesus’ brother Robert is his medical power of attorney and contacted Texas Right to Life yesterday for help.
Texas Right to Life's rapid response team is working to:
- Defend Jesus’ wishes with his medical power of attorney;
- Urge this Christian hospital to respect Jesus’ God-given dignity; and
- Search for another facility for Jesus to transfer.Â
Please pray for Jesus, and consider rushing a gift to our Patient Advocacy Fund as we work to restore his Right to Life and serve patients like him across Texas.Â

To save Jesus, our patient advocacy team and attorneys are quickly working to reach an agreement with the hospital. If that fails, our only recourse to save Jesus’ life will be to ask a court for a restraining order.
Texas Right to Life’s Patient Advocacy Fund is used specifically to protect vulnerable patients from the 10-Day Rule and other forms of denial of life-sustaining treatment. Your generosity ensures that there is a legal defense to anyone who calls for help for a hospitalized family member.
We will give everything we have to rescue vulnerable patients like Jesus, but our team and resources are stretched thin.
This is the second patient facing a 10-day countdown who our Patient Advocacy team has served in the last few weeks. The 10-Day Rule is a dark mark upon our Pro-Life state, robbing countless patients of their medical freedom, dignity, and worth.
You are the last line of defense for patients and families like Jesus and his brother Robert.
Thank you for saving the lives of vulnerable patients victimized by the 10-Day Rule.
