Three years after the passage of the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act, New York State’s climate law, the state has yet to put serious funding into the law’s implementation. Alliance for a Green Economy is a proud member of the NY Renews coalition. Together we will launch the Climate, Jobs & Justice Package on Wednesday, November 16.
The Climate, Jobs & Justice launch will take place in eight locations across the state. We invite you to RSVP to an event near you.
AGREE is hosting the Syracuse press conference and rally. NY Renews member organizations from Central New York, including Climate Change Awareness and Action, Indivisible Mohawk Valley Climate Crisis Working Group, Northeast Organic Farming Association of NY and NYPIRG SU & ESF, will be co-hosting.

Climate, Jobs & Justice is a roadmap designed to rapidly and effectively implement the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act, to make our state healthier and more equitable for all, and to ensure a just transition for workers in fossil-fuel dependent industries. It is organized around three key demands that individually and collectively advance the goals of the CLCPA:
- Fully Fund and Implement New York's Climate Act
- Build Renewable Energy for All and Create Good, Green Union Jobs
- Make Polluters and the Ultra-Rich Pay What They Owe
We hope that you'll check out the Climate, Jobs & Justice Package and join us in the fight for Climate Justice on the 16th and throughout the upcoming legislative session.
Thank you for all your work!
